# Enhancing Nuclear Facility Security with Temporary Anti-Climbable & Attack Tested Fencing During Outages
Posted on: Sep 12, 2023 12:01:00 PM by: Carson Schenk
In the realm of critical infrastructure, nuclear facilities stand as cornerstones of modern society by delivering clean energy and power for millions of people. Safeguarding these facilities, especially during planned or unexpected outages, is paramount. ARX Perimeters is a renowned leader in temporary and mobile perimeter security solutions. They offer attack tested temporary high-security fencing, making it a critical asset in rapidly fortifying nuclear facility security during outages or construction projects.
With a proven track record in protecting large national sporting events, political conventions, high-profile court cases, government and law enforcement agencies during protests and civil unrest, ARX Perimeters is a respected leader in the industry. Today, we'll explore how their expertise extends to enhancing security at nuclear facilities. This is where their surface mounted, attack tested and anti-scale temporary fencing plays a pivotal role.
## Perimeter Protection - The ARX Perimeters Advantage:
ARX Perimeters specializes in providing advanced [temporary high-security fencing](https://arxperimeters.com/arx-rentals/high-security-fence-rental) solutions which was designed to be the strongest rapid deployment barrier fence in the world. With multiple certifications, this elevates ARX fence to serve as robust perimeter protection, dissuading even the most determined intruders. ARX fence features the ability to quickly add barbed wire, intrusion detection systems, glare lighting, catwalk systems, anti-pass through panels, integrated vehicle and pedestrian gates, as well as ballistic panels.
When maximum temporary security is needed, ARX fence can be trusted. The fence can be quickly increased from the standard 8' panel to 12' or 16' heights.
## Controlled Access with ARX Fencing
[ARX Perimeters' temporary high-security fencing](https://arxperimeters.com/products/high-security-fence-systems/) solutions, with their inherently anti-climb design features using 358 security mesh, facilitate controlled access with unparalleled effectiveness. Nuclear facilities can rely on ARX's fencing to establish well-defined pedestrian or vehicle access points. Each of these locations be monitored and managed with precision.
This ensures that only individuals with the necessary authorization can enter specific areas, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access, sabotage or theft.
## Visibility and Monitoring with Transparency
The fully galvanized design and clean appearance of ARX fence ensures visibility. The design allows security personnel to maintain a clear line of sight around the facility's perimeter while establishing a protected area. It aids in immediately discouraging potential intrusions by presenting the perimeter as seemingly insurmountable without a high risk of failure or detection.
Surveillance cameras. [surface mounted anti-trespass panels](https://arxperimeters.com/arx-rentals/anti-trespass-panels/)and intrusion detection systems can be easily integrated into ARX's fencing systems, providing real-time data and immediate alerts in the event of any suspicious activity.
## Swift Deployment
The speed of deployment is crucial during outages, planned or otherwise. ARX Perimeters excels in providing rapid, customized fencing solutions, ensuring that all vulnerable areas within the nuclear facility are suitably protected without unnecessary delays. Using one bolt size throughout the entire fence system and utilizing minimal components, you can have an established perimeter fence in no time.
This design feature is a testament to ARX's commitment to rapid deployment perimeter security. ARX Fence is commonly used to protect materials for construction projects as a quick and secure material lay down yard.
## Environmental Considerations
Many nuclear facilities are situated in environmentally sensitive locations with harsh climates. ARX Perimeters understands these concerns and can configure the ARX Fence to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment. ARX fence can be deployed with no anchors or penetration into the ground, as a completely surface mounted solution.
There are multiple options for ballasting or anchoring the fence when 12' or 16' heights are required. With this in mind, the fence is fully galvanized and offers engineered wind rated configurations.
## Renting and Standby Programs by ARX Perimeters
One unique ability is the option to rent ARX Fence. Opting for temporary fencing represents a cost-effective security strategy by utilizing operational expenditure (OpEx) budgets instead of lengthy capital budgets (CapEx). It eliminates the need for permanent infrastructure, which can be both expensive and time-consuming to install.
Once the outage concludes, the fence can be swiftly dismantled and neatly stored for future use, making it a practical and efficient investment in nuclear facility security. ARX fence is available for short or long rentals, as well as customized standby and storage programs to ensure immediate availability.
## Conclusion:
In summary, ARX Perimeters stands as a pioneer in providing the most secure and rapid deployment temporary fence for nuclear facilities during outages or special projects.
Their expertise in establishing secure perimeters, controlling access, enhancing visibility, and creating rapid deployment positions ensures your facility remains safe around the clock. Nuclear facilities can proactively bolster security, ensuring the integrity of operations even during challenging outage periods. ARX's commitment to innovation and efficiency, combined with their anti-scale technology, makes them the ideal partner in fortifying your facility.
