How Modular Vehicle Barriers Can Eliminate Dangerous Hazards

Blocking traffic from certain areas at an event eliminates dangerous hazards, such as vehicles running into a group of pedestrians or driving into an area that needs to be secured. Many event managers rent concrete blocks or barriers that do not meet ASTM Standards. The problem with concrete blocks is that they are heavy and take up so much space on a flatbed that the company can only deliver so many at a time. With ARX Perimeters’ modular vehicle barriers, you can have up to 400 linear feet delivered at the same time.

Modular Vehicle Barriers Crash Tested to ASTM Standards

Instead of hoping that no one runs through barriers that do not meet ASTM Standards, rent ARX Perimeters’ modular vehicle barriers. Our barriers are widely recognized because they are light and deploy quickly. The barriers are tested to ASTM Standards and have an M30/P2 rating, which means a 20-foot section will stop a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling 30 miles per hour from entering a secured area.

Connecting any length of the modular vehicle barriers with a standard extension bar adds more stability and impact resistance. You can also combine them to protect a secured location from all angles. You can create a linear fence-type barrier or enclose an area, such as part of the parking lot where people might line up to get into an event.

When a vehicle hits the barrier, it tips forward so that the bottom part of the barrier lifts into the bottom of the vehicle, forcing it to come to a stop. Depending on the vehicle’s speed, the barriers are strong enough to rip the hood and fenders off a truck.

Renting Modular Vehicle Barriers

Change your security plan from using jersey barriers or concrete blocks, which can be dangerous, to ARX Perimeters’ modular vehicle barriers. You can rent them for a short event, such as a weekly event, or the long term. With our long-term rental programs, you can rent modular vehicle barriers to protect buildings and construction sites. You can even use them to create barriers for parking areas that see thousands of vehicles every day, such as lots for large amusement parks or lots that offer valet parking and need to keep customers and valet personnel safe.

Our sales team helps with security design, equipment setup and implementation. When your event is over or your long-term rental contract ends, we come out and recover the barriers. Our barriers come in 5-foot, 10-foot and 20-foot sections.

You and move them with a pallet jack if you need to adjust the borders or fence line. They are galvanized and have high-visibility reflective tape to make them easier to see. They are also certified by the Department of Defense.

Keeping people safe at events or keeping them out of secured areas significantly reduces the risk of someone running over them or driving through areas where there should be no traffic. While most times you might not have issues, all it takes is one person who has a medical emergency or who is drunk or on drugs to ram through a group or line of people waiting to get into your event. Instead of risking a lawsuit – people will sue anyone for any reason nowadays – contact ARX Perimeters to discuss your security needs.
