# The Trick to Modular Vehicle Barriers Keeping Your Property Secure
Posted on: Mar 23, 2023 10:00:00 AM by: Carson Schenk
Modular barriers don’t look like they’ll keep you safe from thousands of pounds of vehicle coming at you, but they are actually safer and do a better job than jersey barriers or concrete barriers. They are easier to move if you need to move them yourself, too. And they come in various lengths. Not only can you make a linear barrier, like a fence, but you can also enclose an area.
## Using Connectors for Modular Vehicle Barriers
Our modular vehicle barrier was crash tested and received an M30/P2 rating to ASTM Standards for a single 20-foot section. Just one single 20-foot section can stop a 15,000-pound vehicle that is traveling as fast as 30 mph.
When you add standard extension bars to our [modular vehicle barriers](https://arxperimeters.com/products/modular-vehicle-barriers/), they become even stronger. Most people and companies need more than 20 feet of space protected from vehicles, and it’s easy to connect several barriers, whether in a line, rectangle, or square.
Our barriers come in lengths of 20 feet, 10 feet and 5 feet, so you can design the modular vehicle barriers to fit any space you need to protect from vehicles. You can even surround an entire event with the barriers to protect it from all sides.
## Creating a Linear Fence or an Enclosed Area with Connected Modular Vehicle Barriers
Our mobile vehicle barriers work with our [mobile wedge barriers](https://arxperimeters.com/products/mobile-wedge-barrier/) to control access points. When you have vehicles entering a parking area for your event, you can use the mobile wedge barriers in a fence line or enclosed area to stop traffic to collect fees or search vehicles, depending on the type of event.
Whether you need to block off one side of a building, parking area or lot, or you need to create a complete [barrier](https://arxperimeters.com/arx-rentals/modular-vehicle-barriers/) around an event, building or parking area, you’ll find that the three sizes we offer allow you to offer an extra layer of safety.
Mobile vehicle barriers are perfect for blocking off an area of a parking lot, such as at an air show, to keep spectators safe. Use mobile vehicle barriers and mobile wedge barriers to keep people safe at:
- Events where a line forms into a parking lot.
- Events where you need to protect the entire circumference of the event from traffic on all sides.
- To block off parking in front of a building.
- To create a barrier around an area that needs to be kept clear of vehicles for security reasons.
- To create a barrier around a building to keep vehicles away from a building.
- To block streets for street fairs.
- To close part of a parking lot.
Regardless of what you need our modular vehicle barriers, our sales team will assess the site and help create a security plan, deliver the barriers, and help you set them up. When you are your event finishes, we’ll pick up the barriers.
