# Three Reasons You Should Rent Portable Guard Shacks For Your Event or Facility
Posted on: Jan 26, 2023 9:00:00 AM by: Chase Tobin
A guard shack's primary purposes are to be the first line of defense as a visual deterrent. It allows security personnel to watch over the property and check credentials for vehicles or personnel attempting to enter the site.
Guard Shacks send a clear signal that safety and security are taken seriously, while allowing your security team to have a comfortable working environment. Renting portable guard shacks from ARX Perimeters is the perfect short or long term solution. You can also combine our rental guard shacks with our high security temporary ARX fencing to provide a safe and secure perimeter while effectively directing them to the appropriate locations for screening or admission.
## Made in the U.S.A. From Quality Materials
The guard shacks are manufactured by [KONTEK INDUSTRIES](https://www.kontekindustries.com/guard-shacks) and distributed by ARX Perimeters. They are made with full steel construction and are fully insulated to keep personnel comfortable in all working environments from extreme cold to hot weather. Whether you are a distribution center, music venue, construction site, or have other properties you need to protect, our quality-made portable guard shacks are a perfect solution.
Even though our portable guard shacks are made from steel, they are easy to set up and can be ready for guards to protect the access points on your property in no time. When you call ARX Perimeters, we’ll help you determine the best setup for your situation, including how many portable guard shack rentals are needed and how much fencing your site requires.
## Cost Savings for Vendors Who Host Few Events Per Year
When you host only a few events per year, it might not be feasible for you to purchase multiple guard shacks and then worry about storage and maintenance. Instead, ARX Perimeters has portable guard shack rentals to help you save time and money on an as-needed basis.
Whether you need to control the entrances to an already-fenced property or need temporary fencing, ARX can help you determine the number of guard shacks and the amount of fencing you need. They are set up quickly and have integral fork pockets to make for easy loading and off-loading.
## Many Options Available
Our standard portable guard shack is four feet by six feet and made of steel. It is insulated to protect you from the elements. Our guard shacks have many options, including:
- HVAC.
- Basic outlets, electric and lighting.
- You can easily connect our portable guard shacks to many sources of power, including shore power and generators.
- A secure door that locks.
- Window screens.
- Sliding windows.
- Double pane windows.
- A built-in desk.
Our [portable guard shacks](https://arxperimeters.com/products/portable-guard-shack/) are fully sealed and rust-resistant. You can also order them with connections for outdoor security lighting, which is great for night events.
